From 2019-2022, I lead a group tasked with improving the delivery of APRN programs across the state of Oregon using technology and regional campus facilities.
Key challenges included meeting regulatory standards for nursing education, meeting deliverables for grant funding, engaging health professionals in rural communities to serve as preceptors, meeting the needs of students from different backgrounds and with different experiences working in healthcare, and ensuring buy-in from faculty, IT staff, current students, and staff.
I used tools such as root cause analysis, sprints, a kaizen summit, and structured communication. I tracked work by activity/tactic and outcome metrics at each meeting.
